Bau House Dog Cafe

Before arriving in Korea, visiting the Bau House Dog cafe was very much top-priority for me. I'm not really sure why, 12 months later, we had never ventured to Hongdae and checked this out! With 6 more days left in Korea (yes, SIX) i finally managed to drag Evan to this place in order to tick this item off the bucket list once and for all.

First let's clarify: dog cafe does not equal dog-eating. It means going to a cafe full of dogs and hanging out. It was everything that I could have ever imagined or expected and more. We loved it! You pay for a drink (cheapest on the list was 5,000) and can stay for as long as you'd like. We stayed sitting in the "waiting area" for the best view of everything that was going on. There were dalmatians and labradors walking all over the customers' tables. There were dogs sleeping. There were dogs playing. Feeling a little bit un-liked by the dogs we realized that for 2,000 won we could buy a bag of treats and then the dogs never really left us alone after that. It's a whole lot of fun and if you live in Seoul and haven't made it there yourself, I highly recommend a visit!
