Let's Goyang!

So when we first arrived to Korea in September, where we live (Goyang/Hwajeong) was under massive construction. It was mud and wooden planks and as my students would say, it was very not beautiful. They've been working their tails off to finish the makeover and now it's absolutely stunning! They have put in a track, planted a million bushes, installed 3 huge water features including a splash park, put benches in everywhere, redone the bathrooms, prettied up the auditorium and overall we're in love. They have a different celebration going on every Saturday night and it's been really cool to see the whole community out enjoying it all. Last night we were on our way home from Ilsan when we saw that they were having a huge Jazz performance, and displaying lights with one of the new water fountains. Here's a quick picture or two, and once they finish up the park we will have more pictures to come!

This kid was enjoying the jazz tunes from the comfort of his remote controlled Audi. Seriously, where was this when I was growing up!!! This car is nicer than anything I've ever owned and this kid is like, 4 years old.
